Miettes’ (Crumbs) character is primate-like, mankind’s ancestor from the beginning of its beginnings. He is fixated on stretching a wire, stubborn yet calm in his demeanour. He builds a bridge. A tiny, flimsy bridge. A bridge so delicate, it creaks every time he tries to cross it. This bridge leads to nowhere. What’s the point, then? It’s about the present moment. Being here, in this instant. Now. Being gently swept away by this absurd attempt, taking that step that will lead to a gleeful jump into the void. From now on, anything is possible.
