Marie-Caroline Hominal (CH)
The circus plays an important part in Marie-Caroline Hominal’s craft; for her, it represents a place filled with nostalgia and dreams. She spent the last few months observing a red truck on a work site through her window. After the semi-confinement, she had the urge to go out and play on the streets. Le cirque Asteroïde (The Asteroid Circus) features leitmotivs of construction sites, circuses, stages and stars. It is, more prosaically, the story of five individuals attempting to perform a show in a trailer. To imagine a spectacle on a moving stage is to throw the audience into new and liberating fantasies.
