Dedelaylay (CH)
With Steven Doutaz on drums and vocalist Benjamin Tenko on synthesisers, the Swiss group Dedelaylay are as primitive as they are complex. Their music spreads, constructs and disintegrates between shrieks and notes, culminating in a movement that settles and lingers in the ears of its audience thereby transporting them to a new place. Dedelaylay’s hard-hitting, eccentric and profound sound can hypnotise and captivate their audience to revisit the apocalypse in a spirited fashion. It won’t be simple, nor idyllic, but it sure as hell will be enchanting.
